LESBIAN relationships, an increase in the purchase of sex toys by women, even the movie 50 Shades Of Grey are growing signs of women not needing men, a church minister has claimed.
But the pastor of Calvary Moravian Church on Roebuck Street, Reverend Adrian Smith, has encouraged males to fight back and to put their families first.
He was speaking at a service held not only to mark Father’s Day but to celebrate the anniversary of St John’s Ambulance Brigade yesterday.
It was attended by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave and Lady Belgrave, Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), Colonel Alvin Quintyne; Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard; acting director of the Department of Emergency Management Kerry Hinds and members of the St John’s Ambulance Brigade.
