CHICKENS ARE DYING or not reaching their full potential and poultry farmers and their umbrella organisation believe they may have identified the culprit.

One farmer reportedly lost about half of his flock of about 100 birds and said he initially thought it had to do with conditions on his farm.

However, after consultation with other chicken farmers, he concluded that it was the feed that was killing or stunting the growth of his chickens.
