THE GREATEST SPRINTER in history is coming to Barbados.
The newly-built Usain Bolt Stadium at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill campus will be opened by the Olympic sprint champion.
Vice Chancellor of the UWI Sir Hilary Beckles made the disclosure to a Caribbean audience present at his installation ceremony held at the impressive new sports facility last week.
“We are gathered here this evening at the Usain Bolt Stadium, a celebration in a monument to one of the greatest men of Caribbean times. Dr Bolt has assured me that he will be here very soon to open this facility,” Sir Hilary said to applause from the large assembly of guests.
