Windies call up Dowrich, Chandrika

WEST INDIES’ cricket selectors seem keen on turning to the youth.

A week after the virtually ending the international career of 40-year-old Shivnarine Chanderpaul, they have called up two uncapped players for the first Test against Australia, starting on Wednesday.

Barbadian Shane Dowrich, 23, and Guyanese Rajindra Chandrika, 25, were yesterday named in a 14-member West Indies cricket squad for the opening Test of the international Test series for the Frank Worrell Trophy.
