Netball is without a national coach now that Sandra Bruce-Small has quit the post after three years.
Bruce’s recent resignation came after the national team’s dismal showing at the Netball World Cup (NWC) in England in July.
Barbados won just one match – their opening game against Singapore – and placed a disappointing 12th of 16 teams at the international tournament in Liverpool. That poor showing means Barbados is now ranked 13th in the world behind Caribbean neighbours Jamaica (4th) and Trinidad and Tobago (11th).
Bruce, 58, was elevated to the position of head coach in 2016 after taking over from long-serving Anna Shepherd. (MK)
