THE BARBADOS NURSES Association today called for a better deal from Government on the appointment of nurses and on the timeliness of paying them.

During a seminar at the Hilton Barbados resort, president of the association Blondelle Mullin complained that several nurses were waiting to be appointed and that some temporary nurses were not being paid on time.

She also asked Government to reinstate a stipend for student nurses which she said was a victim of Government’s cost-cutting programme. (TY)
