EMERGENCY SERVICES are on the scene of an accident in Maxwell, Christ Church where there was a collision between a (yellow) minibus and a Route Taxi (ZR).
Six ambulances from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, one from the Barbados Defence Force, two fire tenders and a number of police officers are on site, obliquely opposite the Golden Sands Hotel.
A number of people are on stretchers and doctors have arrived to start treatment. Some primary school children were also travelling on the buses.
A tent has been set up to treat the injured. (SAT/JJS)
