PRIME MINISTER FREUNDEL STUART wants the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) to reopen dialogue with the Council of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) as a first step to possibly rejoining the country’s Social Partnership.
The Prime Minister spoke to the issue yesterday while addressing those attending the BWU’s annual May Day celebrations at Browne’s Beach, St Michael.
“I should like to make a call to the union and to the entire council, to let’s sit down and talk this matter through, to see how best we can get the family restored to its state of integrity, so the workers of Barbados will continue to be the beneficiaries of the best advice and the quality input and leadership of the Barbados Workers’ Union,” Stuart said.
