IT WAS ALL avoidable.

That is the cry of Violet Husbands, whose 24-year-old son Jamaal Husbands is facing a murder charge in relation to last Friday’s shooting death of Wayne Albert, who was 40.

While saying sorry to Albert’s family, Husbands said that had her call for assistance for her son, who is an outpatient of the Psychiatric Hospital, been heard, she would not be feeling the pain for her son and a family would not be mourning for a loved one.

“It got me real hurt. I could only imagine how the other family feels,” Husbands told the WEEKEND NATION at her St Lucy home yesterday. (LK)
