A SENIOR ANGLICAN PRIEST has advised trade unionists not to get “caught up” with politics and politicians.
Rector of St George’s Anglican Church, Reverend John Rogers, also urged union leaders not to turn a blind eye to below-par productivity levels – “union dues or no union dues”.
He made the call yesterday during the annual service of thanksgiving of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) at the BWU’s complex in Harmony Hall, St Michael.
“You must not become so caught up in the politics of the day that you lose sight of who you really are and who you are called to be,” Rogers said. (TY)
