Spreading word on copyright

WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Day is tomorrow and Barbados played its part in the observance through an open day activity yesterday.

The pedestrian traffic was below what organisers were expecting, but deputy registrar, copyright, Merlene Weekes-Libert said the show still went on.

Along with members of the general public, students from Sharon Primary and Lester Vaughan Secondary, which have been adopted by the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office, were invited to tour the facilities.

There was also a tent set up on the outside of the Baobab Towers, Warrens, St Michael offices, where different businesses set up their wares for display and sale. (YB)
