THE NEXT FEW WEEKS should determine the division of troops in one army and who the ultimate general will turn out to be.
One of the generals lost a recent manoeuvre involving a trusted ally, but is still very much the front-runner.
The second general got his wish after orchestrating this particular return. In fact, it was the third straight return that he fashioned in his own image.
Another mini-skirmish is coming very soon and if the second general gets his man, then the balance will tilt his way a bit more.
But the winner of this micro-fight is not a foregone conclusion. Many believe the front-runner general is best suited for the job, but others like living and clinging to the past.
A certain power play is set to be made within a year, and Cou Cou’s money is firmly behind the fresher blood emerging as the solitary general.
Â
SLOW LEARNER
Â
THERE IS A CERTAIN person, who some are saying it would be best if he took a long, hard look at himself in the mirror and resolved to pull his act together before his embarrassing actions reach the public domain.
It appears that a week does not go by without some indiscretion on his part. The latest suggests that he just doesn’t care. Cou Cou understands that he recently went to a certain popular lime, ran up a bill of over $300, and then promptly left without paying it.
If this had not occurred before at other locations, one might have been tempted to say it simply slipped his mind. But he has had so many “slips”, that if that were the excuse one would have to surmise that early Alzheimer’s disease has set in.
This action can be added to several others involving old people’s money entrusted to him for specific reasons that seemingly never get put to the purpose for which he received them. Introspection is needed now more than ever.
Â
THREE THE WEALTHY WAY
Â
THE figures are astounding but reportedly true. In fact, they are so true that if the details get out, civil servants might wonder why they are wasting time in the public sector.
Cou Cou understands that three private sector workers have accumulated in excess of $250 million between them, and all from wheeling and dealing with other people’s money.
Cou Cou will not accuse them of dishonesty because they have never seen the inside of a police station, or prison, but whatever secret it is that they have, they should share it with others.
Here is the breakdown of their bank accounts: $150 million for the retired guru, $90 million for the local guru, and $28 million for the up-and-coming guru.
Â
FROM ASIA WITH LOVE
Â
A PUBLIC OFFICIAL recently questioned how certain vehicles could leave a Government-controlled environment without certain legal obligations being fulfilled.
Well, Cou Cou has been able to identify the owner of several of those vehicles. Like his late father before him, he has greater leanings toward Delhi and Mumbai than he has to Nairobi or Dodoma.
He has hunted with both the hounds and the hares and, as in the past, nothing will come out of this latest scheme.
Â
DAYS NUMBERED
Â
A CERTAIN individual’s days at an important institution are numbered. Cou Cou has been reliably informed that certain papers have already been passed to the relevant authority to bring a sad chapter to an end.
Additionally, specific revelations which could soon be made public, are so damning that the individual will have no choice but to bring happiness to the hundreds around him by leaving.
Â
WARNING SIGNS
Â
COU COU has been told, but does not want to believe, that a certain drug man walked into a particular office, slammed his gun down on the desk of a certain official, and demanded that he get a specific contract which had been promised to him for services rendered.
