Oliver Jordan has been elected treasurer of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA).He is the lone Barbadian on the CHTA board, which will be led by newly elected president, Josef Forstmayr of Jamaica.Commenting on his new post, Jordan said his role would be to work closely with the president, board and management “to ensure that the CHTA remains a financially healthy organisation that is well positioned to support the regional tourism industry during these challenging times”.Jordan is well known in local and regional tourism industry circles, having served as president and CEO of the Barbados Tourism Authority. He is also a past director of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation and the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, and former chairman of Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (PR)
