While Paints Plus’ new store in Speightstown, St Peter, threw open its doors just recently, this abandoned house next to it has been “open” for the past two years.
The building, now an eyesore, was split open and knocked off its props when a vehicle careered off the Speightstown Bypass Road and ran through it. The only things left are a few drawers and an old fridge.
One nearby resident said while the property had been rented up to the time of the crash, he could not say what the hold-up was as far as fixing it or removing the ruins. (BW)
