PRESIDENT of the Barbados Football Association, Ronald Jones, in an article in the August 1 WEEKEND NATION, expressed concern about comments made by people he described as “detractors of football” concerning the grant of US$250 000 which the BFA receives annually from FIFA for the development of football in Barbados.

I want to make a humble suggestion to Mr Jones and the executive of the association, namely, at your next annual general meeting, simply present to the general body a detailed statement of accounts for the disbursement of these funds for the financial year.

Surely, this simple act will dispel any doubts.
