Joseph the new BAJ president

Veteran journalist Emmanuel Joseph is the new president of the Barbados Association of Journalists (BAJ).Joseph was elected following a Special General Meeting last Sunday night at Solidarity House.Joseph is the news editor at Mix 96.9 FM and has 38 years experience in journalism. Following his election, Joseph thanked journalists for placing their trust in him, and said he was looking forward to the work ahead and serving on the committee.He takes over from former president, Amanda Lynch-Foster, who vacated the post last month upon leaving journalism as required by the BAJ constitution. Her new job places her in the category of an associate member which prevents her from running for office. (PR)
