BARNEY Gibbs and Ethan Jordan are the first two lucky Simpson Motors customers to take home popular Apple iPads in the Warrens, St Michael, car dealership’s August promotion.Gibbs, the first winner with the purchase of an Isuzu Single Cab, D-Max pick-up for his company Environ Ltd’s Adopt-A-Stop programme said: “We had the same vehicle for approximately six years. “However, it was involved in a collision recently and had to be replaced. We were so happy with the performance we got from that vehicle that we decided to replace it with the same model.“Receiving the iPad was a pleasant surprise. Initially I was going to keep it for the home, but I have been playing around with it and realising more and more that it would actually be a good asset for the company, especially when making presentations to clients. “It is very small and compact and very addictive. I am always using it, or I should say, I use it whenever I can get it away from my wife,” Gibbs noted.Jordan received his iPad after purchasing a Suzuki Grand Vitara. He explained that he and his wife Jacqulin were thinking of changing their vehicle and from the time she saw the Vitara on the road she wanted one. “I was checking them out for a while on the road or in car parks and would compare them to other jeeps. From that alone I knew I wanted one,” Jacqulin chimed in.The couple noted that after test-driving the vehicle they were sold. “Seeing it was one thing, but actually driving it was what sealed the deal. We got the vehicle on Wednesday and it has been sweet so far. Marvellous!”As far as their iPad was concerned, the Jordans said they were definitely looking forward to testing and using it.Simpson Motors’ sales manager Kevin Beckles said the promotion was running for the entire month of August.
