MANCHESTER, Jamaica – Police have charged three men for three different murders in the parish.Among those charged is Jamaica Defence Force soldier Bernard Ballentine, who is accused of killing Northern Caribbean University student, Shannel Norris.Police say the 47-year-old reserve soldier and the student were travelling in the soldier’s motor car on Hart Road when an argument started. It is alleged that he pulled a knife and slashed Norris’ throat, killing her on the spot. He was later picked up by lawmen at the nearby JDF training camp.Security Guard Neil Lambert who gave himself up to the Manchester Police is charged for the murder of student nurse Tashay Spencer.Spencer, a 19-year-old student nurse, was allegedly stabbed to death by Lambert, during a domestic dispute in Resource District, Manchester two weeks ago.The police have also charged Germaine Thomas for the murder of Shaleen Taylor, a student from Kendal.
