BARBADOS’ victorious Hoerman Cup team will be back on the tee boxes later this month as they seek to raise $18 000 to get to the World Amateur Team Championships in Argentina.
The occasion will be a Two-Ball Scramble at Royal Westmoreland on September 18.
The format, which allows for a mix of fun and serious golf, is expected to be well supported.
The Bajan domination of the Hoerman Cup by team captain James Johnson, Marcus Clarke, Sean Edey, Simon Proverbs and Julian Jordan, is still very fresh in the minds of members of the golfing community.
The Barbados Golf Association named Johnson, Clarke and Jordan in the team for the World Amateur Team Championships from October 16 to 31. (HH)
