Shield dates, venues

THE DATES and venues for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the Sagicor General Shield Competition were decided on Tuesday at the office of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).
 The quarter-finals which will bowl off on Sunday, September 12, at 11 a.m are as follow:
1. BRC BCL against Ince Transport MTW at Dayrells Road; 2. Barbados Community College versus Nature Valley Lodge at Cane Garden; 3. Mount Gay North Stars against Windward at Foursquare Oval and 4. Pine Hill Diary St John Cultural versus Market Hill at The Brewery.
The semi-finals are set for September 19 with the winners of game 1 and 2 playing at Dayrells  Road, while the winners of Games 3 and 4 will play at The Brewery.
The final will be played on Sunday, October 3 at the Desmond Haynes Oval.
In order to accommodate the Shield final, the sixth series of matches in the Sagicor General Super Cup will be switched from October 3 to October 17.
Meanwhile, as a result of North Stars reaching the quarter-final of the Shield competition, their Division 2 game against ESA Field Pickwick which started on September 4 will now finish on September 26.
There is also a change in the Intermediate competition. The Intermediate game between Wotton and Coleridge and Parry scheduled to be played on September 11, 18 and 25 at Wotton, will now be played on September 12, 18, and 25.
