TESSA CHADERTON-SHAW is the new regional administrator for the Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (RADO).
Chaderton-Shaw, who was manager of the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) for 14 years, replaces Neil Murrell, deputy director of sports at the National Sports Council, who had previously been seconded to the position.
Chaderton-Shaw assumed duties on October 1 and will serve as the main contact person in anti-doping education, testing and coordination of other activities for 14 countries within the Caribbean.Â
The Regional Anti-Doping Organisation was established in 2006 by the National Olympic Committees and government representatives from The Bahamas, Dominica, Montserrat, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, St Lucia, Antigua, Suriname, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Barbados, with the assistance of the Commonwealth Secretariat and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).Â
As a result, a RADO was established with offices located in Bridgetown, Barbados. (PR)
