Bajan hip-hoppin’ to UK

BARBADOS is not short on talent, and day by day more discoveries are made. But, believe it or not, the cream of the crop has been here right under our noses waiting, planning and strategising for the right time to make that controlled move to stardom.
McNeil, real name Oneil Smith, has been working with Nozama Records for the past couple of months as a recording artist and after several formulated projects, he is the first artist ready to emerge from the production line.
Hold You Down is his version of hip hop meets  soul, and for the harmonies and grooves he enlisted the talents of Barbados’ own Karma Nai and Sisi Jo to form the sexiest trio to make a track of this kind in a long time.
Nozama Records are putting plans in action to take this track and the follow-up album to the international masses starting with Britain.
The upcoming album features the likes of Orakle, Snappah, Capone, Kirk Brown, Brook Miller, Brian Carter and a few other surprise guests. The release of the Nozama album will be in 2011 with another two singles being dropped this year. (JS/PR)
