From as early as 6 o’clock this morning Barbadians were stationed outside Kensington Oval for the funeral service of the late Prime Minister David Thompson.
The service is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
There are now long lines outside the Oval as many left their homes early to make sure they get a vantage point for the funeral service.
Some told the Nation that they were at the Oval early and were a little frustrated that up to 7:15 a.m. they were still waiting for the doors to be opened.
Along Fontabelle Road many were seen making their way to the Oval, the majority dressed in traditional mourning colours – black and white.
