Acting Commissioner of Police Bertie Hinds went on a Yuletide walk-about at Six Roads, St Michael, today, his first of such tours around Barbados for the season.
Speaking to the Press, he said, “We are having a hands-on look-in on what is happening throughout Barbados. And this is the first stop, and how appropriate, because recently we had a very bad case of robbery here.
“But I am glad to report that those two persons [responsible] have been apprehended and we are optimistic that will lead us to the apprehension of more people and the solving of some similar offences across Barbados,” said Hinds.
Hinds said the proprietors were quite happy with the police coverage and they are encouraging us to continue but we can only [do so] at seasonal times. (JS)
