Mara says thanks

Barbados’ newest Member of Parliament Mara Thompson, today said a big thank you to her constituents, the people of St John.
“I just want to say thanks for putting me into the House of Assembly to represent you,” Thompson told constituents as her victory motorcade made its way though the parish.More than 20 vehicles and at least 200 people took part in the motorcade that left the office of the Democratic Labour Party’s (DLP) St John constituency branch at noon.
The slow-moving motorcade was expected to spend five hours on the road, taking in areas including Gall Hill, Lemon Arbor, Venture, Edgecliff, Newcastle, Foster Hall, Henley, Pool/ Roebuck Street, Cliff, Kendal, Guinea, Massiah Street and Featherbed Lane.
Thompson, her daughters Osa-Marie, Misha and Oya, Minister of Transport and Works John Boyce and St John constituency branch president Cleeton Coppin were among those taking part in the “victory ride”.
