Individual competition and rivalries have been fierce here at the National Stadium in the various divisions of the Foundation School’s Inter-House Track and Field Competition.
In the Under-20 boys’ division, it has been Shaquille Alleyne and Nikolai Gall of Lynch against Wellington’s Nicholas Gill, with Alleyne winning the battle in the 100, 200 and 400 metres.
John Haynes of Inniss and Lynch’s  Opinpreye Ekiyor have also been going ding doing, with Opinpreye winning the 100 and Haynes turning the tables in the 200.
Tia-Adana Belle of Lynch, known more for her netball skills, has been dominating the Under-17 girls’ division ahead of her Lynch House teammate Chelsi Corbin, with Aisha Smith of Talma unable to compete. The Under-20 division, like most of the other schools to date, is not very strong.
In the junior divisions, athletes like Akilah Worrell, Elijah Downey, Shashamani Kellman, Christopher Taitt and Deshon Trent have also been causing a stir.
