Tino scolded for behaviour

Barbadians have chided fast bowler Tino Best for his behaviour yesterday when he left his training at Kensington Oval after expressing concern with some of the physical drills at the start of the session.
The Barbados cricket selectors said they don’t plan to tolerate any acts of indicipline this season.
The Nation’s online readers were quick to respond after the story appeared in today’s DAILY NATION.

Matthew Clarke said: “A line has to be drawn and a standard set for behaviour among our sporting athletes”. He said he believed setting standards were necessary.
 
Cammie Wiggins: “No one is bigger than the game – no one. You don’t just walk off the field in people’s practice and walk back on because you don’t like how it is going. Other places would have benched him more than one game; they probably would have done it for the rest of the season. What he will do is sit out this game and take a look at himself”.
Raquel Gilkes said: “…He is …hot-headed and graceless, therefore he would be unpopular with selectors”.
Some readers even compared the treatment meted out to Best and to other players in other countries saying it was unfair.
