Management of Cave Shepherd has set up a condolence book on the Broad Street store for the late Carolyn Tassa Forde.
Cave Shepherd is a long-time sponsor of the Cave Shepherd All Stars Calypso Tent, where Tassa was a senior member.
Tassa passed away last week Wednesday at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a brief illness.
Manager of Corporate Communications Hugh Durant said the book, which is at the front door on the ground floor, was for friends and family to pay tribute to Tassa.“She has been very close with us here at Cave Shepherd, performed here in the store over the years at Crop Over time,” Durant said.
Staff from the store and some of Tassa’s tentmates were on hand for yesterday’s unveiling. The book will be open until Saturday afternoon.
The thanksgiving service for Tassa will be held at the James Street Methodist Church, James Street, Bridgetown at 1:30 p.m on Saturday.
The burial will take place at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Viewing of the body will take place at the Chapel of the Paramount Funeral Home tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
