Princess Margaret’s defending inter-house champs Alleyne (blue) are heading to their third sports title in four years after opening up a near 100 point lead by lunch at the National Stadium today.
Led by seniors Shekira Squires and Travis Gittens’ dominance of the sprints, Alleyne already surpassed last year’s winning tally at the break, racking up 1112 points to lead Cocks (red) 1046, Peebles (purple) 1019 and Greenhalgh (green) 840.
Alleyne actually started the day trailing Peebles, but quickly made up the stagger at the end of the 800s before extending their advantage when they won the last three 100 metre sprints behind Squires, Gittens and Ronald Lucas.
