The Opposition will not “back off” or remain silent on Clico, says St Joseph MP Dale Marshall.
Marshall said that while the Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler was telling people to back off, the Opposition would not be silent.
He said it was impossible to back off when an individual on the board of Clico’s companies was suing Clico Holdings, and “when the Minister of Finance is asking the Press to back off while this person who is suing Clico is also the chairman of CBC”.
“Justice must be seen to be done and not [be based] on empty platitudes,” Marshall told the Lower Chamber during debate on the 2011-2012 Estimates yesterday.
