Division one newcomers NCC Rangers were taught this valuable netball lesson when the finals of the 2011 knockouts were staged at the Netball Stadium last night.
Multiple champions Rangers beat NCC, 59-54, with the score-line being misleading in reflecting the disparity between the new queens and the vanquished.
At time the winners lead by 14 points with only in the dying minutes and the game out of reach that NCC’s Lydia Bishop was allowed to sink five successive points to bring some respectability to the loss. (KB)
