By 11 this morning, Barbadians will know if Reggae on the Hill will be taking place today at Farley Hill, St Peter.
Promoter of the event Al Gilkes, of FAS Entertainment, said they were currently monitoring the situation and meeting with all the stakeholders of the event, which is the climax of the Digicel Reggae Festival.
Gilkes said while “things were not looking too good”, a firm decision on the show has not yet been made.
He said they are currently meeting with the National Conservation Commission (NCC) discussing conditions of the venue, adding they were also in contact with the Met Office tracking the weather conditions.
Gilkes said they would determine if the show will be held later today, tomorrow, or next Sunday.
Reggae on the Hill is boasting an all star cast including Wyclef Jean, Queen Ifrica, Sizzla, Gyptian, Junior Kelly, Lisa Angel, Buggy Nhakente, Hotta Flames, Indrani, LRG, Daniel, and Mark Crystal.
