A drug operation yesterday netted 12 bags of cannabis off the north coast of Barbados.
Two men are now assisting police with investigations.
A release from Police Public Relations officer Inspector David Welch today noted that the operation took place around 5:20 p.m.
“The Drug Squad of the Force led an operation which involved the Barbados Coast Guard, and elements of the RSS, off the north coast of Barbados, where a suspicious fishing boat was encountered.  The Coast Guard pursued the boat which was eventually caught and the occupants arrested; 12 bags of cannabis weighing 376 lbs were seized,” he said.
