The 27th Biennial Campus Games opened yesterday at the Cave Hill Campus with hosts Cave Hill Blackbirds, looking to soar above St Augustine and champions Mona to clinch the title for the first time since 2003.
The Bajan-flavoured opening ceremony, with tuk band and acrobatics from the cheerleaders and dancers was well received by guests, and more than 250 competitors from the three campuses.
The height reached by Justin Poleon (here) as well as the intensity on his face are expected to be replicated by the boys and girls in black and gold, who have vowed to bring the championship title back to Cave Hill. (KB)
