Charges against 71-year-old William Walter Cooper were dropped yesterday after he was hauled off a plane on Monday.
The American had overnighted at Dodds Prisons on a 1999 arrest warrant issued by Florida, United States.
Yesterday Cooper reappeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the Bridgetown Traffic Court but the Director of Public Prosecutions halted proceedings against him.
Cooper had been in transit from Switzerland to Antigua at the time of his arrest on allegations of fraud. (AC)
