PRIME MINISTER FREUNDEL STUART last night announced adjustments to his Cabinet, adding Urban Development to his responsibilities while retaining both Denis Kellman and Denis Lowe, whose roles were the subject of much speculation in recent months.
In a 20-minute nationally televised broadcast, Stuart outlined changes that touched five other ministers as he spoke of the prolonged economic challenges facing the country and thanked his countrymen, the private sector, trade unions and the churches for their support.
Stuart, who leaves the island today on a state visit to the People’s Republic of China, promised Barbadians “we will not let you down” as he outlined plans to resolve a number challenges.
Among them were the difficulties that some longstanding residents had in accessing health services, continued housing development, promotion of a green economy and enhancing of entrepreneurial opportunities.
