Warner won’t budge

Austin “Jack” Warner has never backed down from a football fight.
He doesn’t plan to start now.
CONCACAF’s deposed president yesterday vowed that he had no plans to meet with investigators who have been ordered to look into a bribery scandal that has rocked the region’s soccer governing body to the core.
Warner, who returned to Trinidad a few days ago to a rousing welcome hours after he was suspended from all footballing duties by FIFA, noted yesterday that he is yet to receive a warrant requesting his presence in Miami, and even if he does, he doesn’t plan to talk to anyone, anyway.
 FIFA-hired former FBI head Louis Freeh has started investigations into allegations that CFU federations took cash bribes in exchange for votes for FIFA presidential elections.
The allegations have cost both Warner and Asian football chief Mohamed Bin Hammam their positions.
Also yesterday, CONCACAF vice-president Lisle Austin, said he had written FIFA for intervention regarding his suspension.
