Relations between Barbados and Jamaica seem to be taking a turn for the worse.
Months after the Shanique Myrie affair, a new dispute seems to be brewing.
Myrie, a Jamaican woman, claimed she was cavity-searched at the Grantley Adams International Airport while coming here on a visit. The incident resulted in a war of words between the two countries, with Jamaica promising to take the matter to the Caribbean Court of Justice.
Now a tough-talking Prime Minister Bruce Golding has accused Barbados of “aggressive action” in relation to an incident last week at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
