NUPW seeks ‘justice’

The?National?Union of Public Workers (NUPW) says it is seeking “justice” for staff of the Probation Department.
It made the comment in a Press statement after staff of the department recently staged a sickout and walked off the job for two hours, complaining of supersession and unfair practices by management as reflected in job evaluations and interviews.
The statement quoted NUPW general secretary Dennis Clarke as saying the union had “every intention of seeing that justice prevails on behalf of the workers”.
Clarke queried the recent interviews and subsequent appointments which the union says will result in at least two staff members losing their jobs.
