Arthur: Heads should roll

Former Prime Minister Owen Arthur is calling for the heads of Minister of Finance Christopher Sinckler and Central Bank Governor DeLisle Worrell after Moody’s Investors Service lowered thedomestic currency rating on Barbados.
Within hours of the country’s being downgraded by one notch to Baa3, the lowest investment grade level, Arthur told MIDWEEK NATION that because of the enormous suffering in Barbados, the time had come for a change of course.
“I really believe someone has to held accountable, and it is clear that this catastrophic failure reflects the failed policies of this Minister of Finance, and that the time has come to put an end to his amateur hour.
Arthur said that to restore confidence, “those responsible for the mess, the Minister of Finance and the Central Bank Governor have to go”.
