The U.S. Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean has a new Chargé d’Affaires.
He is Christopher Sandrolini who assumed the role of Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean on Sunday
Sandrolini is a career member of the U.S. Foreign Service, and has over 25 years experience with the U.S. Department of State. He most recently served as a Senior Advisor in the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
From 2008-2010, Sandrolini served as the INL Director at the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem and from 2005-2008 he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See in Rome, serving for extended periods as Chargé d’Affaires. From 1999-2002, he was Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Calcutta. He has also served overseas in Bratislava, New Delhi, and Santo Domingo.
Sandrolini has served in Washington, DC in a variety of capacities in INL and other State Department’s bureaus, including the Operations Center; Oceans, Environment, and Science; South Asian Affairs; Western Hemisphere Affairs; and as Executive Exchange Fellow with US West. (PR)
