Barry Forde, this country’s most decorated rider, is back home, soaking up the sunshine and spending some time with his family in Husbands, St James.
Forde, 34, a winner of World Championship and Commonwealth Games medals, retired from the sport this year following a positive urine test for the artificial substance EPO.
He was in the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex yesterday, taking in some of the Schools Junior Basketball final between his alma mater Foundation and St Leonard’s Boys. His old school won 57-54.
Here, Forde watches second quarter play with his German-based South Korean companion.
