Pride of Bayley’s

Oh happy day!
That’s just what yesterday was for these two students of the Bayley’s Primary School, Micaiah Gittens (left) and Reanna James.
They collected several prizes and awards for their outstanding academic achievements at the school’s graduation ceremony at Sunbury House.
Gittens will be attending Harrison College and James Queen’s College.
Guest speaker Magistrate Ian Weekes warned the graduands to watch out for the “. . . negative things in life, but what you have to do is use the positives to make your life worthwhile”.
He added: “In my time, research had to be done solely by going to the library, but technology is at your fingertips where you can access it to make your life worthwhile.”
He told the parents to beware of artistes such as Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Popcaan because they could “shape the behaviour of their children and present challenges in time”. (DG)
