All systems are in place for tonight’s  MQi/Banks/LIME Pic-O-De-Crop semi-finals at the Gymnasium at the Garfield Sobers Complex in Wildey.
Yesterday, the 18 semi-finalists, back-up singers and the Festival Band went through routines for about four hours to ensure a smooth programme.
Superintendent Keith Ellis, leader of the 18-member Festival Band, told the WEEKEND?NATION he was pleased with the “run-through”.
“We will do what we have to do tomorrow night [tonight],” said Ellis.
At the end of tonight’s competition, eight contestants will be selected to battle defending calypso monarch Mighty Gabby at the finals at Kensignton Oval next Friday night.
