Grenada’s airport back to normal

Operations at the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) are expected to return to normal following the end of industrial action by its employees today.
Corporate Communications Manager Desmond Brown said LIAT will resume full services to and from Grenada by tomorrow. He said, where possible, the airline will seek to add capacity to meet the demand for seats to Grenada which is about to start its 2011 Carnival celebrations.
LIAT informed passengers affected by the recent disruptions and want to rebook for a later date, that they would be allowed to do so without charge for a period of one week from the date of their scheduled travel. Following the one-week grace period, passengers would be required to pay applicable fare and change fees when re-booking, he said. (PR)
