POLICE HAVE UNCOVERED a racket involving stolen cars registered as legitimate vehicles with the Barbados Licensing Authority.
The scam particularly involves Toyota Corolla models, four of which investigators had recovered up to yesterday.
Police are also questioning a man who may be at the centre of it all.
“We are conducting investigations surrounding the theft of a number of motor cars, and from all indications the culprits have been targeting Toyota Corolla models,” crime chief Assistant Commissioner Seymour Cumberbatch told the SUNDAY SUN yesterday. (TS)
