Not funds alone!

ERSKINE KING isn’t buying into the funding excuses.
It’s time local athletes pay up for their own shortcomings.
The director of the National Sports Council has cited a lack of determination by Barbados’ sportsmen as reason 1A for the country’s failures on the international arena, dismissing those who believe that the absence of facilities and funding are solely at fault.
King made the comments as part of a four-member panel on the Voice of Barbados’ Sunday Brass Tacks programme discussing the state of sport in Barbados. (JM)
