MOST OF US were taught from an early age to “do unto others as we would have them do unto us”. As we grow and mature we seem to forget those little things that are the basics of life.
We have recently seen the bashing of husbands and boyfriends, but some of us women need to start taking the blame for our actions and our shortcomings.
I recently got an awakening that really taught me a lesson, and I would like to share it with the women out there – and the men also.
At 35 years old I am a very attractive, sexy, beautiful and charming woman. I know how to dress, look the part and the stuff to do to make men’s heads turn.
I have a boyfriend who is very nice to me – some of you all would say he is a bit too nice, accepting and tolerating.
I would just tell him a lie so that I could spend time with some other man who at the end of the day just wants one thing.
But I am a flirter and I love to quote this line from Rihanna’s song: “I know I am bad, but I am perfectly good at it”. And I was good – or so I thought.
I would go to work and jump on MSN Messenger, Facebook, Twitter and all the social networking sites – plus I have my BlackBerry with me at all times – to “meet” people and start up a chat with them and I found I would get into details with them: from what I did at home, to how my drive to work was, to what I looking to have for lunch to where I was going after work.
When I had an argument with my boyfriend, I found I was going online the next day and looking for pity. Well, you know men: they will give you advice to suit themselves.
I was involved with a man who now lives and works overseas.
He goes and comes and I used to make myself available for him. Each time we chatted online he would ask me about my relationship with my boyfriend and I would start by telling him my business. His advice would be, “I am coming home soon. I want to see you and make love to you; you got to put a horn in that man.”
Recently he came home for the Crop Over season. He brought his wife (who is white) and child. He never introduced me to her nor brings his child to see me.
Well, while he was here we had sex. A few days afterwards I was at work and I felt the urge to urinate, so I went to the restroom. While there I noticed my panty shield looking damp, but I passed it off as some urine having slipped out.
While there I could smell this odour coming from my vagina and it was swollen as big as my fist.
When I urinated, I felt a severe burning and there was even some inflammation.
I went to the doctor immediately and he said I had a severe infection in my vagina wall that could only get there if I had put or allowed something not sanitary to enter me within the past day or two. I had not had sex with my boyfriend the week my friend was here, so it would have had to be my so-called friend that did this to me.
My doctor told me to ask the gentleman to go and see a doctor or come and see him so that he could be treated. I told him, but he laughed at me and said it wasn’t him, it was my nasty man or I needed better hygiene.
Since then I have been unable to contact him on the BlackBerry.
Would you believe that he saw me online last week and told me he will be here soon? He is coming to spend about five days and he wants to see me.
Well, this time I will set him up.
I agreed to see him, but I know he will not be seeing me. If all he wants me for is breast, legs and thighs then he should go to any of the fast food outlets in Barbados.
I have closed my window and refuse to be a drive through for anyone. I am much more than that.
We women should learn that many men just want us for sex.
When a married man can talk negatively about his wife, he can do the same to you as well.
When they tell you that their wives are miserable or don’t trust them, you should ask yourself, “why?” There must be a reason.
A married man is always offering to move a mountain for you. Even though you have your own man he still pushes himself up to you. He would say, “Oh, I just needed to see you” or “I was thinking of you all night, but she was here, so I couldn’t call.”
Why doesn’t he do for his wife what he is willing to do for you? Forget him!
Women, leave the married men alone.
If they truly did love you or want you they would have married you instead. They only want to make you another notch on their bed heads.
If you are in a stable relationship with a good man, make it work. If you are in a rocky one, talk to your partner, work things out and stop flirting and flaunting yourself.
At the end of it all, your health is at risk. By the time this is printed I would have told my boyfriend all. I really love him and it’s time for me to plan my wedding and settle down.
