No gay push

THE BARBADOS Tourism Authority (BTA) will not jump on any bandwagon to push gay tourism.
That has been made clear by BTA president and chief executive officer (CEO) David Rice following a recent call by the gay community for specific focus to be given to attracting homosexual visitors.
President and founder of the United Gays and Lesbians Association of Barbados (UGLAB) Darcy Dear had said in a recent interview with the WEEKEND NATION it was a market tourism officials should cash in on.
But Rice said that was not on the BTA’s agenda. (DP)
