Hope, Austin at top

ESA Field Pickwick batsman Kyle Hope amassed the most runs and Sagicor UWI off-spinner Ryan Austin took the most wickets but all-rounder Ryan Hinds of ICBL Empire and left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn of Super Centre Spartan topped the batting and bowling averages in the BCA Division I championship between 2009 and 2011.
Hope, who made his debut for Barbados at the first-class level in 2010, registered 2 729 runs including seven centuries (the most) at an average of 53.51.
His 1194 runs (ave. 66.33 with five centuries) in 2009 is a new Division One record.
The experienced Austin, who has played two Tests for the West Indies, bagged 174 wickets at 15.74 each. He took five or more wickets in an innings 18 times (the most), along with five ten-wicket match hauls.
Hinds, the former Barbados captain and West Indies player scored 1 695 runs at an average of 77.05 including six hundreds. He played in 23 of the maximum 39 matches in this period.
Benn, whose appearances were limited due to West Indies duties, captured 91 wickets at 13.19 runs apiece. The lanky Benn, who played in only 17 matches took five or more wickets in an innings seven times, along with two ten-wicket match hauls.
